SARAH RAO

Sarah Rao, also known as the #TheChineseDressageGirl is one of the most inspiring young riders and influencers in China who has a growing social media profile in both Europe and China.

Born in a family without horses, Sarah found her way into Dressage at the age of 18.

By basing herself in Cheshire with Sarah Higgins at Pinfold Stables, Cheshire, she has already represented China in the 2019 FEI Asian Championship in Thailand, creating history with her double international wins as well as winning a silver medal in the Asian Games 2023. Sarah is also a Gold medallist as part of the Shanghai Team at the 15th edition of the National Games of the People’s Republic of China.

The next step for Sarah will be the FEI World Games 2026, Asian Games 2026 with the ultimate aim being focussed on Los Angeles 2028.

By being the leading young rider in China, Sarah also has the role of Youth Ambassador of the FEI solidarity award winning programme, Horsemanship Movement.
