Abigail Gray
Abigail is one of the most exciting young talents in the Dressage World. At only 16, her results are outstanding and speak for themselves, with numerous international wins and appearances. 2024 has been a stand-out year for Abigail being crowned FEI European Champions representing her country.
Abigail Gray is 16 years old and from Scotland. Although from a non-equestrian family, Abigail showed an interest in horses and started riding at 6 years old at a local riding school.
She joined Pony Club when she got her first pony and started doing local dressage and show jumping competitions. At age 10 she won the Pony Club Dressage Championships and won the BD Youth D-Squad Championships.
At age 11 she won at the British Dressage Regional Championships and went on to have a podium finish of 3rd place at the LeMieux British Dressage National Championships. Competing in the Pony FEI dressage classes at Premier Leagues then followed, which led to her being selected to compete internationally for Great Britain.
In their first season together Abigail and her current pony George Clooney B.S were selected as part of the British Team for the 2023 European Pony Championships at Le Mans, France where they finished 4th as an individual in the Freestyle.
In 2024, after another successful season totalling 11 international wins, they were also selected for the European Pony Championships at Opglabbeek, Belgium where they won the silver and gold individual medals crowning them FEI European Champions.
Abigail and George Clooney B.S also won the National Pony Champion title in both 2023 and 2024.They are currently Number 1 in the 2024 FEI Pony Dressage World Rankings.
Abigail’s next plan is to find a horse and compete in FEI Junior dressage in 2025.
